Give me a little guidance — what should I do, where should I go, help me out. It is a life-altering event, and you need the advice and guidance of somebody who has been there, somebody who has been involved in those types of cases, to lead you in the right direction. We have represented a lot of folks who have been hurt in the oil field, and we have the results to prove it.
Usually, as soon as an injury occurs, people rig down. They start removing equipment, and they try to remove it before OSHA shows up — because every serious injury requires an OSHA investigation, and some of these companies do not want to be a part of that. They start power washing the equipment. They start removing equipment from where it was not supposed to be to begin with. To prove your case, you have to go back and find out what was there, when it was there, and who removed it.
