Baton Rouge Man Charged with Vehicular Homicide for Crash that Killed Two Brothers

This summer, a car accident killed two brothers who were in their twenties, one dying on the scene, the other succumbing to injuries in the hospital the next day. According to Louisiana State Troopers, the other car had veered across the center line, causing the head-on crash. Last month, two charges of vehicular homicide were leveled at the other driver. The man's arrest came after toxicology tests determined that he was driving under the influence of drugs, including amphetamine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and other substances. His bail was set at $200,000.

This tragic incident is only one example of what one seriously negligent individual can do. There are simply too many stories of innocent people being severely hurt or even killed because of one reckless person getting behind the wheel of a car. Beyond inflicting pain and suffering, these car accidents can also saddle families with astronomical medical expenses, and then can even keep people from being able to work. While you lose out on pay, you could be faced with a growing stack of unpaid car and medical bills, and this for something that is entirely another person's fault.

If your family is suffering from someone else's negligence, then you are entitled to compensation. Through a personal injury or wrongful death claim, you may be able to win a settlement that will cover your medical fees, lost wages, pain, and suffering, and more.
